This Musk Lorikeet is in the wild flying around with a hybrid. The hybrid appears considerably smaller than a Rainbow Lorikeet but at the same time has a bluish purple patches on the cheeks and behind the eyes. The size and general colouration indicate a Musk-Scaley hybrid. The colours in the head indicate Rainbow influence.
